How is a tube made?
The tubing large diameter and thick wall are manufactured from hot rolled plate, while the tubing strip welded are mainly made from cold rolled or hot rolled slotted pre-material.

The steel tube can be manufactured in several ways: seamless: a solid steel bar of circular section (billet) is hot rolled little by little to the required outer diameter, and hot drilled by spinning the metal until obtaining thickness and length of tubing required.
There are three main types of steel tubes: cylindrical (round), rectangular and square. These different tubes are mainly used in masonry works, in particular thanks to their physical characteristics (maintenance, bending, resistance to pressure and torsion).
Weight of a steel tube with an outside diameter of 20 inches or 508 mm, whose wall is 5 mm: ((From 508.0 mm – thickness 5.0 mm) x thickness.
Cast iron and steel are made primarily from iron ore but also contain other components and are differentiated by their carbon content: cast iron contains 2.1 to 6.67% and steel from 0.03% to 2%.
