What is wood energy called?
L’wood energy is the source ofenergy the oldest used by man for heating and cooking food. Today the drink is a energy biomass, which in France represents more than 9 Mtoe (million tonnes of oil equivalent) ofenergy primary.
At a high temperature, hydrogen and carbon oxidize on contact with oxygen. This then allows the combustion of the drink. First of all, if the drink is exposed to a temperature above 100 degrees, the water in it begins to evaporate. When it becomes almost dry, combustion begins.
Back to our drink heating: it is essentially made up of carbon and hydrogen, like the majority of fuels. Under the effect of a rise in temperature, a chemical reaction takes place between carbon + hydrogen and the dioxygen contained in the ambient air. Their atoms merge.
carbon dioxide combustion full of drink produces: – gases, mainly carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapor (H2O); – solid residues (ash and dust, mainly mineral).
the drink–energy is often wrongly accused of contributing to deforestation. However, it is indeed a energy renewable as soon as it is from sustainably managed forests.
How is wood formed? Wood is a natural material from trees used in heating, construction, furniture, making tools and artistic objects. Its mode of formation and its microscopic structure explain its remarkable properties.
It is also an interesting fuel. For the biologist, wood is the secondary xylem which ensures the conduction of raw sap in ligneous plants (Gymnosperms (conifers) and Angiosperms Dicotyledons).

From the point of view of the material, users distinguish woods according to their mechanical and chemical properties (hardwoods and softwoods).
